The “Nutrients per Hectare (N/H) Scoring” in this food audit compares like with like, so the “Traditional Production Score” compares the land-efficiency of a crop with other crops that are also grown using traditional outdoor methods. The “Ultra-Efficient Production Score” compares the land-efficiency of a crop with other crops that are grown using the most land-efficient modern methods, such as in 8 storey aeroponic buildings or in ultra-tall or stacked bioreactors. Consequently, the “Ultra-Efficient Production Score” for a particular food is not comparing it with that same food (or with other foods) grown using “Traditional Production” methods.
